Mr Tumble Birthday Cake
My friend's little boy is mad about Mr Tumble (a TV character in the UK) and so this is the cake I made for his birthday. It was a steep learning curve - it's been really humid here for the past few days so I had a few problems with the model, but I think he turned out OK in the end.

Spencer Train
My friend's little boy is called Spencer, and as a family they all love the Thomas the Tank Engine stories, so she asked me to make him this special cake for his 1st birthday. It was a madiera sponge with blackberry jam (jelly) and vanilla buttercream, covered in rolled fondant. I was really pleased with how he turned out as he's quite a different shape to the Thomas engine which I have done previously.

Royal Wedding Cake
This was my first attempt at making a "wedding" cake - it was for the street party we had to celebrate the marriage of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. The bottom layer was fruit and the top layer was chocolate. I really enjoyed making it and was pleased with the overall effect.

Hearts Cake
This was my first attempt at making and using chocolate flavoured MMF - it was delicious!! I was also pleased with how the bow came out, as that was something I hadn't tried before either. I suffer from being the only female in a male household, so my husband has to put up with his birthday cakes being somewhat girlie...he didn't seem to mind though (he's more interested in what's on the inside!) :o)
