Hunter's B-Day Cakes
This cake was donated in a silent auction. The winner wanted a b-day cake for her husband who enjoys hunting. Inside is marble cake with chocolate buttercream. The two large rocks on top are cake scraps and buttercream sculpted and covered in fondant. Everything is edible except the feathers. For some reason, the uploaded photo makes the cake look uneven, but it wasn't.

Baby Shower Cupcakes
My first time making and decorating cupcakes. Up until now, I have just done cakes. All the piping is my first time piping anything fancy!!! I really just wanted practice with different techniques! I am so pleased with how they turned out! The little decorations on top are fondant. Thanks for looking!

Stained Glass Cake
I made this cake just for fun and practice. It was my first square cake and I wanted to try painting on fondant. I really love how it turned out, but I got really lazy when it came time to top it with something. I quickly painted some triangles and threw them on there (I don't really like them - oh well!)

Sleeping Baby Shower Cake
This was for my best friend's baby shower. This was my first attempt at the quilting effect. I used a ruler and an index card to line up my lines. The back is a little sloppy, but I was very happy with how everything turned out! This was a hard cake to cut because I liked it so much. I sculpted the baby, bottle, blocks and pearly out of fondant. The stars I found at Michaels for $0.39 each!! The ribbon I found at the dollar store! The cake under is yellow cake with chocolate buttercream.

Trendy Baby Shower Cake
I made this for a friend who I teach with. When she was 8 months pregnant she wore zebra striped high heels to school - that was my inspiration along with many cakes on CC. I had a lot of troubles with this cake and learned a lot! The heels are "baby" size and made of gum paste. Everything else is fondant.

Brown And White Flower Cake
There was no category for brown cakes so I put it in the black/white section. This cake contained many firsts for me. First time making chocolate fondant, first time making a 3-tier cake, first time piping decorations. The piping is sloppy - I don't think my consistency was correct and my hand was soooo tired. The fondant crack also. I tried to roll it thin enough to cover all the cakes so I wouldn't have to make another batch - lesson learned.

Spaghetti And Meatball Cupcakes
There are yellow cupcakes underneath. I piped the "noodles" just using a plastic bag with the corner cut off - no rhyme or reason to the piping. Then I piped the "sauce" using a bag with the corner cut off a little larger. The "meatballs" are chocolates I bought at the store and the "parmesan" is grated white chocolate.

Cheeseburger Cupcakes!
I made these after seeing all the cute photos on this website! Thanks for the inspiration! They are yellow cake cupcakes. The "meat" is a chocolate cake ball flattened. The "cheese" is made of white modeling chocolate tinted orange. The "lettuce" is coconut tinted green and the "ketchup" and "mustard" are just buttercream. The burgers are topped with sesame seeds. The "fries" are sugar cookies rolled in sugar. These were fun and easy to make and turned out super cute!!

Baby Cake
This is my 5th cake ever! All the decorations are made of marshmallow fondant except for the duckies - they are modeling chocolate. It was my first time making and working with modeling chocolate. It was super easy to make but hard to work with because I have such warm hands! I love how it looks clean and shiny!
