Brandon's Army Camo Cake
This cake was done by our 11 year old grandson, Brandon. It's the first cake he's ever done. Once I showed him the technique, he designed and decorated it himself. I used the tutorial by jammjenks on cakecentral.com. I think he did an excellent job! White cake with buttercream icing.

Woody Cake
This cake is for a young man turning 17. He grew up with Toy Story and Woody is still his favorite character. His Dad wanted to remind him of what he used to say when he was small. The cake is French Vanilla with strawberry cream cheese filling, butter cream icing and fondant decorations. Hay bale is RKT covered in fondant. This was my first cowboy cake. I really enjoyed doing it. Doll provided by parents.

Natalie's Birthday Cake
Our niece, Natalie, wanted a Rapunzel cake for her birthday, so I decided to try my first doll cake for her. I wanted to have plenty of cake so I made an extra cake also with her name on it. I did the lettering with candy melts, gum paste roses (recycled from my last class cake earlier this week), fondant & gum paste leaves. The cakes are chocolate with chocolate buttercream filling, buttercream icing on the extra cake. Buttercream and fondant on the doll cake. I had a long hair extension that I tied in with her hair to make it like Rapunzel's hair. Real doll in the cake, wrapped in Seran up to the waist. I know I had a lot of flaws, but it's my first try and I really enjoyed doing it for her.

Hurry Spring!
This is my last class cake and my first time trying to use an embossing mat. I had major problems with this cake. The fondant ripped from the sides of the cake before I knew what was happening. I did a lot of patching and covering up on this cake. Used lots of gum paste roses, leaves & rose petals. Can't think of anything better to call it than 'Hurry Spring'!
