This was a rush job unfortunately but I still liked how it turned out. The main part is a 2 layer 12 in round and the ears are hand carved to fit. I did a similar cake for my daughters birthday in pink frosting with sliced marshmallows instead of the M&Ms.
This is the first birthday cake I ever baked. Back in those days it was just a box cake and canned frosting. I still felt accomplished at the end of the day though. I think it will always be my favourite cake. BTW I used 12 boxes of cake mix and 9 cans of frosting and each segment was a different cake flavor.
This is my first attempt at Gumpaste for my Daughters 4th birthday.
