This cake was based on a quirky children's book, "Tadpole's Promise." It was a bridal shower present for a children's librarian. The frog and butterfly wings are gum paste. The cake is key like with key lime buttercream (CC recipe). Fondant and accents are MMF.

I was inspired by Ramira's beautiful cake to practice working with gumpaste. All 3D figures are gum paste. The cake is strawberry with white chocolate buttercream filling/frosting and covered in MMF with MMF accents. I had fun experimenting with gum paste. Unfortunately the colors didn't transfer to the camera well, it's a little brighter in person.
