1st attempt and chocolate lollipops
My son's birthday was a boat ride so I wanted to do a boat cake and I wanted to incorporate his favorite Sesame Street pals. Everything is edible- characters are gumpaste & covered in royal icing. It was fun & a big hit with the kids. They loved eating the icing off of their favorite character.
These cookies were favors to go with my palette cake.
This cake was for my son's joint birthday party with another friend at an Art Museum. It was my first attempt at cake sculpting which was fun. Paint splatters on bottom layer. We did a rainbow chip inside so it had colors in it.
This was my first attempt at fondant and wasn't very artful but the blocks were cute. It got me hooked in cake decorating. I just bought a small cube pan for the blocks. On each side of the block there was something different- name, DOB, length, baby bootie, pacifier, beach ball, stars, heart- something that meant something.
