Mcdonalds French Fry Cake
This cake was for our daughters 3rd birthday. Driving down the road one day, she said she wanted a french fry cake!! This was such a fun cake to make and it has been a big hit. I had a lot of people not believe it was cake from the photos. The fries themselves are made from a yellow cake that I baked in a 9x13 (or maybe a little bigger), I removed it from the pan and cut into strips and then the strips in half. Then I used a pastry brush to brush water on to the strips that I had placed on cookie sheets. Once wet I sprinkled them with raw sugar (aka salt), then rebaked them to make the edges crispy. They were delicious!

Flower Pot Cake
The bottem is a half sheet cake, split and filled with raspberry filling. The flower pots were made using a new terra cotta flower pot. I washed it, let it air dry, I then lined it with aluminum foil, and greased it heavily. Next I added my cake batter, I just eyeballed it on the amount. After I removed it from the pot and it cooled I took out some of the cake on the top so I could fill it with crushed chocolate cookies (the dirt). I then arranged inedible flowers in it. The other flower pot is also cake!!
