Spongebob Squarepants Pineapple
We made Spongebob cake pops for my grandson's 2nd birthday and needed a small cake to put the candle in for him to blow out. My first thought worked out well - he lives in a pineapple under the sea, so I made a small pineapple out of two miniature bundt cakes and a 4" springform pan.

Spongebob Cake Pops
My grandson adores Spongebob Squarepants. For his 2nd birthday we decided to do a Spongbob themed cake and I thought some cake pops would be really cool. They were a huge hit! We stored them in the fridge, and the pictures were taken after they'd been out for a little while on a hot day. I had no idea Spongebob sweated that much...

Blue & Orange Paisley
White almond sour cream cake covered in buttercream, then fondant. The ribbons are also fondant, and the flowers are silk to match the bride's bouquet, also seen in the picture to the left of the cake. The cake was for an informal reception we had for my son's wedding. They wanted colors to reflect a sports rivalry between the Florida Gators (orange & blue), and the Tennessee Vols (orange & white). I think the colors came of quite nicely. This was my first attempt at a fondant covered cake. I learned a lot, and thankfully the audience was quite forgiving. Strategically placed flowers cover a multitude of goofs, as well! :-)

Rubber Ducky, You're The One...
This was my first cake for somebody outside of my family, so it was a pretty big deal to me. The mother-to-be loved it. Nobody wanted to cut it, so I ended up doing the duck in. Chocolate cake with buttercream icing, baked in the 3D Rubber Ducky pan. The washbasin is filled with styrofoam with a fondant covered cakeboard on top of it. The bar of "soap" is a carved rice crispy treat covered in fondant & painted with a mixture of the Wilton icing gel color & white cooking wine (I don't keep vodka, so had to improvise).
