The cake is a six tier 9in round chocolate cake for the top hat portion. The head is a cut styrofoam ball wrappped in plastic wrap and covered in gumpaste. The cards are also gumpaste with an edible image on top. The top is a 12in cake round covered in black fondant and the purple details are fondant as well. Made for my 7 year old's magic party.
For my daughter's 4th birthday. It is a 10 inch round cake with 4 layers and homemade MMF.
Covered in homemade MMF and decorated with pink royal icing.
2 tier cake. 6 inch and 10 inch layers - 3 layers each.
Made these for a flower themed birthday party. Chocolate cupcake with green buttercream and candy clay (Wilton) flowers. They dried pretty nicely and I used the candy clay since it seemed easier than fondant or gumpaste at the time.
Followed the recipe on whisk kid's blog for the cake and the Swiss meringue buttercream - I subbed almond and vanilla extract for the lemon flavoring since I wasn't sure if the kids would like lemon and it was really really tasty.
For this one I made the top decor out of pre-made fondant and black icing. The cake is almond with vanilla buttercream for the blue background, white clouds and green grass. The characters are piped candy melts - Goofy was too big to fit on the cake of that height so I went with less.
Sugar cookie with royal icing. Used a round cutter and then the clouds are flower cutter pinched into a cloud shape. Sugar crystals on the "2".
Soft sugar cookies with buttercream icing and MMF toppers. I painted the black on since I wasn't having much luck with the Wilton pen.
Used the Wilton cake pan homemade MMF (first time making and using). Used cutters for the flowers and letters
