Butterfly Cupcakes

Butterfly cupcakes are chocolate mousse filled, dipped in cream cheese frosting then topped with buttercream icing. Butterflies on top are a fondant/gumpast mix and are covered in white petal dust. TFL!

Pictures taken after loading them in my homemade "ghetto-fabulous cupcake carrier"... Learned about carrier from AKA_cupcakeshoppe here on CC.

Cake for my awesome mom! HUGE thank you to Kello here on CC who provided soooo much help and inspiration! Cake is German chocolate, filled w/ chocolate mousse, covered in dark chocolate ganache and fondant. Score sheet, letters and letter trays are fondant/gumpaste mix. Edible image over board & score sheet. Scrabble words on front are fondant/gumpaste with gold luster dust.

October Birthday Cake

This cake was made for my daughter's 22nd birthday. It was inspired by an amazing cake by Kitagrl here on CC. The animal on top was supposed to be a wolf... I'm not the most accurate sculpter and it sadly ended up looking more like a cross between a dachshund and a chihuahua. Bottom is hand painted.

This was my first cake I have ever tried piping free hand with royal icing. It turned out okay, but I wasn't real happy with how shaky the lines looked. Loved the colors though. The roses are made from fondant.

Baby Shower Cake

This cake was made for a friend of the family. The cake was inspired by a beautiful one made by cmerola here on CC. Bow is gum paste, baby bottle is solid white chocolate, and all the rest is MM fondant (except for the brown fondant which is Duff brand). Very sadly this cake died in transit, and the bottom layer fell due to heat (I'm guessing).
