Chocolate buttercream, chocolate spinkles, and a gumpaste fantasy flower.
Highland Dance Celebration
Vanilla cake, dressed up with buttercream pleats and adorned with a MacDonald dress tartan fantasy flower. I overlaid a printed sugar sheet atop of gumpaste petals.
White Night Wedding
This small cake appeared in Volume 5 Issue 3 of Cake Central Magazine - the white wedding issue! The cake is sugar coated to make it sparkle. The oversized flower is made of gumpaste with silver leaf and glitter accents.
For my daughter and her friends. The gumballs are real gumballs - I didn't make them from fondant! I followed McGreevy Cakes' tutorial in making the cake.*
A 5 inch chocolate ganached cake with sugar (gumpaste) pansies, sweet peas, snowberries and maple leaves.
Chocolate Ruffled Pleats
Ruffles made with modeling chocolate. Mountain ash berries and maple leaves made with gumpaste.
High bush cranberries, white spruce cones, American elm leaves, and petunias - the official flora of the City of St. Albert. All in gum paste.
