Purple birthday cake for a neighbor's daughter. Found the heart design online. The original design used sugar hearts, which were described as colored sugar cubes. I wasn't sure the kids would like that so I used fondant and made my own colored sanding sugar.

Back from a recent Disney cruise, this 9 year old wanted a Castaway Cay beach themed cake. Chocolate cake with a layer of white chocolate ganache, crushed oreos and chocolate buttercream as a filling.
Shoe modeled out of gumpaste using tutorial by mrsvb78. Purse inspired by kitagrl. Strawberry cake, with white chocolate SMBC and fresh strawberries.

I made this for a neighbor's cub scout blue and gold banquet. This was the "crossing over ceremony" cake for the 8 boys in the den who were moving onto boy scouts. One cake represent cub scouts, the other boys scouts, with a bridge in between.
I posted this picture so quickly, I forgot to add my credits. Thanks to many CC'ers for the penguin idea...it was perfect for a winter birthday theme. The penguins are fondant, molded from an online tutorial by aine2. The ice skating pond is rock candy, colored blue. Igloo is RKT covered in fondant. This was my first topsy turvy style tier, so it's a little lumpy =). TFL!

Each guest at the party is a different character and brings with them a special object pertaining to their part. So I used the theme colors and logo from the party kit and then used the special objects to decorate the cake (a journal, a telescope, a microphone, ballerina shoes, cookies, musical notes and a hairbrush. Both tiers have "ding dong" filling, bottom is chocolate cake, top is white chocolate cake.
