Gender Reveal Cake
Gender reveal cake. The couple had the ultra sound tech write down the baby's sex and seal it in an envelope. I was given the enveloped and two options for cake, and a picture they found online for inspiration. The cake ended up being strawberry with a whipped ganache filling. Bright pink-- baby girl!

Flowers And Bees Shower Cake
Strawberry cake with strawberry and cheesecake filling made up this shower cake for my cousin. The flowers and bees were to coordinate with some artwork that she'd found for the baby's room. Bees were chocolate hazelnut cake pops. Everything else was fondant, with a buttercream border.

Fall Wedding
Three tier 14, 10, 6" square wedding cake. The bottom tier is red velvet with white chocolate cheesecake filling, and the top two are butter cakes with caramel and apple pie filling. The flowers are all handmade gumpaste tiger lilies, red lilies, sunflowers, and mums in fall colors. Season's of flowers combined, but they were the flowers in the bride's bouquet. The bear grass is artificial. This was my first time making flowers to decorate the entire cake. Tutorial for sunflowers here: http://confessionsofadiyaholic.blogspot.com/2011/10/gumpaste-sunflower-tutorial.html

Sweet Pea Baby Shower
Tall pink and green baby shower cake. My friend asked for a pink and green cake that didn't look like a "girls cake" since they're not finding out the sex...that was a tall order for me! No theme, so I went with a tall sweet pea theme of 6" and 4" cakes, and pulled lots of different cakes up on CC for inspiration. Cake is just vanilla with vanilla SMBC at the mother to be's request!

Meet Buck!
Buck is just that...a 10 point buck. I've included pictures of the structure to help people see how he was built. If I do another one of these, I will also drill holes next to the antlers for ears as they did NOT make it to the event and threatened to ruin the entire cake. He was made with red velvet cake- 12, 10, 9, 8, and 6 inch single layers. The top of the neck and head were RKT. All airbrushed buttercream (hair texture by brushing set buttercream with dampened pastry brush) with fondant eyes, (ears), and nose. He is my first PVC structure, RKT, and airbrushed cake. The antlers were built on a wire structure, wrapped in foil, then wrapped in masking tape, and then brushed with royal icing.

It's All Downhill From Here!
My friend asked for a cake that looked like mountains with a guy skiing down them for her husband's 30th birthday. This is what I came up with after looking at a lot of other CC photos. Cake was butter yellow with chocolate mousse, covered in ganache. White peaks are fondant, but all other decorations are modeling chocolate (my first time using it- and I LOVED it so much more than gumpaste!). Really bummed that someone touched the sign and it smudged before I could get a picture. :(

Black And White Flower Cut Out
Red velvet three tier (14, 10, 6) for my cousin's black, white, and emerald green wedding. Thanks to Robint and ryansmom319 for the inspiration. FYI for anyone who's interested in trying this- the flower was traced straight from the computer screen pictures of the previously mentioned lady's cakes (blown up to the size needed in Publisher).

Harley Birthday Cake
Six inch tuxedo cake covered in ganache. Decorations are fondant. Flames painted with gel color/alcohol. I wasn't happy with the Harley sign. I need a Cricut! My font wouldn't come out right and I ended up having to make tiny snakes to form the letters, and it doesn't look as clean as I wanted it to...and doesn't help that black fondant bleeds like crazy.

Fall Birthday Cake For An Art Teacher
100% credit to YOUnique_Cakes for her beautiful cake called "Fall Wind." It was the total inspiration for this cake for my neighbor to give to her sister for her birthday. She retired as an art teacher and wanted to give her something artistic, fall themed, with texture. She loved this cake. It was 6 and 8 inch chocolate cakes with oreo cookie's and cream filling, covered in ganache and chocolate fondant. Decorations are all fondant.
