Phd Book Cake
This cake was made for my brother-in-law's PhD's celebration party. I found a lot of information on how to make book cakes on cake central, so thank you for everyone that has contributed your knowledge. I used MMF and it worked well, but seemed to crack. That could have been my error in using it. It was a fun cake to make and I learned many ways to improve for my next book cake. Thanks for looking!

Butterfly Cake
This cake was for my Grandmother-in-law's 100th birthday party. It cake 6, 8, 10, 12 cake dummies covered in fondant with gumpaste and fondant accents. They asked me to use cake dummies so I could finish it ahead of time since our first child was due the same day as the party! There were also sheet cakes for eating. Thanks for looking!

Volcano Cake
This cake was for my nephew's 3rd birthday. I got many great ideas from other cakes on this sight - Thanks! I think my husband enjoyed this cake as much as my nephew because he got to go crazy with the dry ice to help the volcano erupt. We had better pictures of the eruption, but the best eruptions make the cake hard to see. Anyway, chocolate cake with peanut butter filling. Chocolate buttercream and regular buttercream icing. River is piping gel tinted blue with tin foil underneath to add texture.

Airplane Birthday
This picture was for my husband and father-in-laws birthdays. The plane looks like the one my husband trained in for his pilots license. I realized afterward that I could have added the letters on the side of the plane, but oh well. I used a cross cake pan and cut the edges to look more aerodynamic. :0) Buttercream icing, nose is MMF, wings/propeller is made from paper. Thanks for looking!
