My daughter asked for this Debbie Brown Castle for her 5th birthday. As she was having a shared party I added another princess. Unfortunately I added the main tower too early, before the whole cake was dry and consequently it tilted a bit.
I went to a Sugarpaste clasee thinking it was novelty cake and I ended up learning how to make sugar flower. I totally fell in love with this field of sugarpaste. The end of the course assignment was to make a flower bouquet and present it the way we wonted. I thought a nice way to celebrate spring was with a bit of imagination
I made the castle and subsequently added the fairies around the cake. As it was done for somebody I do not have a photo of the complete cake.
For their 4th Birthday my children (boy and girl twins) wanted a dragon, a castle and a princess. I took a Debbie Brown idea and I added a Princess and a Knight. The Knight is holding my son favourite toys, and that made him extremely happy. Around the cake I added a lake made with piping gel, so it was only added at the last minute.
