Ruffles
2 8 inch WASC cakes, buttercream ruffles for a dear friend's birthday. The fondant dahlia might not be a good addition, but my daughter liked the way it looked so it stays. The last photo shows how I 'scored' the icing to try and get the ruffles lined up. Of course right after I took the pic, my row was crooked (sheesh!). Cake was sprayed with Pearl luster for the shine.

Wolverine
A sad attempt, inspired by charismacakes. Lack of time, running out of yellow fondant and overall stress led to this, but the 5 year old birthday was really impressed so, overall, mission accomplished. Bless his heart for not seeing the flaws! Claws were purchased from a costume shop (they were a pair he can now use to play with)

Beach Wedding
An attempt at brittanyadkins' cake, with a few changes. It is a chocolate chocolate cake with nutella mousse and cookies'n'cream filling, smothered in chocolate ganache and buttercream. Fondant did not turn out exactly as I wanted, but it looked better with the coral and shells, esp. after spraying with luster dust. I used the Wilton Sea Life Designs for the majority of the shells and the borders, graham cracker crumbs for the sand. Hope the bride likes it, she gave me free reign. TFL

Papoose
Cut from a 9x13 cake, a simple cake for a mystery (boy?or girl?) baby. The yellow fondant was rolled over with an impression mat, and the "fur" around the face was a fondant log that I imprinted with my fingernails. The eyes and mouth were made with a circle cutter, pressed only on one half.

Graduated Colours
This was made from two tins (turned upside down and hot glued together) for a cake show. Simple but time consuming, all circles cut and rolled with a ball tool in lighter shades of black and grey. The flower was a PME (3 sizes) and also rolled with a ball tool to make the edges curl. I forgot to dust off the icing sugar, oh well.

25Th Anniversary
Two large sheet cakes (I punked out and bought them at Costco bc I did not have time to bake them) with RKT horse head. I used the Wilton Pretty Pony pan and separated the head from the neck a bit for more definition. Cake icing (ugh) was scored to look like barn board, head was covered with ganache and fondant (white, colored with brown color and cocoa powder). Mane was piped chocolate icing. It was the 25th anniversary of the adapted horse-back riding program, the cake was for the generous owner of the stable. The cake was 2 1/2 feet by 1 1/2 feet. I was embarrassed to use a store bought cake but it was that or............no cake! Apologies!

Test Cake
I have wanted to try this technique for a long time, and here is my first try. An 8" WASC tinted pink, ganache filling (with a too big dam!) and buttercream icing. Two leftover fondant hearts to top it off. The method was simple but time consuming, and I didn't quite get how to get a nice finish at the start/finish seam. Oh well, better luck next time!

Test Cake
This was a cake dummy to practice smooth fondant technique. I learned so much from Larissa's class, all her info was invaluable. I tried the diamond imprint and using a simple 5 petal flower, I made indents near the center and pinched the petals to make the flowers you see. Sugar balls complete the middles. My future cakes will be smoother!! TFL

Flight Attendants Graduation
Cut from a 15x11 sheet cake, WASC with fondant filling, buttercream icing and fondant accents. The snow has pearl spray, the banner has red luster dust (which did not help the writing adhere!) and the only non-edible is the dental floss linking the plane and banner. Inspired by many lovely cakes on CC, merci!

Rubber Ducky Tub
This is a tall (10 inch x 2 WASC and 10 inch x2 chocolate) cake, chocolate ganache and buttercream filling. Sides are fondant strips, I did not completely blend in the brown coloring to get the wood streak effect, then the boards were scored with a sharp knife. The dark brown strip was made with an extruder. Bubbles dipped in luster dust, ducky is a candle. I think the duck is too small, but my attempt at making one was less than stellar, so the candle it is!

High School Grad
2 ten inch WASC cakes with chocolate ganache filling, an 8 inch chocolate cake with cookies n creme filling all covered with fondant and custom made transfer sheets. Whew, a lot of work to make the sheets stick and cut without ripping! My sister flew in to help or I may have panicked! The tartan is applied on a blue fondant, the bow is pretty bad but I now know what I did wrong. I used Duff wires with hand strung beads. The girls LOVED it, didn't want to cut it, and the school has given me a contract (for life apparently!) TFL

Confirmation Cake
10"x2" round chocolate cake with cherry pie filling (!) mixed with buttercream for the filling, covered in buttercream done with the Viva paper towel method, with fondant accents. Thanks to natskys and whitetiger1955 for the inspirations! Used the pearl maker for the blue pearls around the bottom. Name done with Tappits. TFL!

Diving Bunny
A copy of so many of the great ones that have been done here, this is a great site for inspiration! 8" round with Nutella filling, buttercream and surrounded by just over 40 Kit Kats. Fondant bunny pieces and for the tail I used my fingernails to make little indents and it turned out looking textured. I think I made a mistake on the number of toes (it may be only 3!) but no one noticed. Easter M&Ms along with Cadbury eggies fill the top. TFL, and keep up the good work all of you bakers and dreamers!

Teapot And Cup
A half ball pan on top of 2 carved rounds, fondant everything else. (I should have used the doll pan ) Sort of a disaster and I am not too happy with any part of it except the teacup. I greased a fine bone teacup and molded thin fondant into it and let it dry. The flowers were necessary to hide the fingerprints!! Gold spray and luster dust on some accents. Sigh, at least its done.

Bouquet Of Roses
A simple bouquet for an elderly neighbour who loves flowers. I used the soccer ball pan, simple WASC, ganache filled and fondant cover and flowers. Just over 120 roses and still doesn't seem like enough! I skimped out and made a few ribbon roses to fill in some spaces and strategically placed some leaves as filler. I used her own silver tray that her son gave me, I hope she will like everything. TFL

Baby Stroller
Modern baby carriage WASC cake with chocolate ganache filling and covered in fondant. The handle is wire and the 'legs' are straws but everything else is edible. Would love to take credit for the design but I copied from susanscakebabies and hope she is happy with it! (Thanks for the inspiration)

Flight Attendants
One 10" WASC with chocolate ganache and a 10" chocolate with strawberry cream cheese filling. Hand carved, buttercream dream icing and fondant continents. Don't hold me to the accuracy, I eye-balled them and did my best! The fondant plane is glued to a bent pail handle that was hot glued to the board. Balancing act to deliver but arrived safe!
