This is a candy land cake i made for a friends sons bday party. It was so much fun to do. "Gloppy" and the candy canes are made from gum paste. I used candy gum drops, bridge mix, twix, suckers, various size gumballs on cake as well. the peanut brittle house and gingerbread tree is made from fondant.
This is an army cake i made to go along with an army boot cake i did. Hat made from double layer 6in round cake pan. Camo is fondant and cut out from hand drawn template i made and pieced together like a puzzle. The fondant pieces were layed on a thin piece of fondant using water as glue then placed on cake. The rim of the hat is a 10 inch hard, smooth edge cake plate covered in fondant.
I made this boot from ideas i saw on other sites for a dear friend who is being deployed. Front portion on boot cut from template out of cake and rest of boot was made from rice krispy treats. Entire boot covered in fondant.
