Guitar Birthday Cake
This cake was done using the Wilton guitar pan. I made it for a friend's 14 year old grandson who plays the electric guitar. It is 2 layers; bottom is triple chocolate cake and top layer is regular chocolate cake. It is filled with chocolate pudding and iced with butter cream. I found a pattern for the guitar parts on the Wilton website under the pattern section. My friend, floydsv, did the fondant accessories from the pattern and her wonderful artistic skills. I piped the details with butter cream and used some fondant guitar picks to try and hide some of my flaws on the cake side.

Gerbera Daisy Birthday Cake
I made this cake for a coworker. The bottom layer is funfetti cake and the top is carrot. Those were her two favorite kinds of cakes, so even though an odd pairing, she was happy. I filled and crumb coated both cakes with homemade cream cheese icing (using one of the recipes on CC). The fondant work is done with the CC MMF Easy Peasy recipe that uses the kitchen aid stand mixer. Fortunately, I was able to cover most of my fondant flaws with the accessories. The coworker called this, "my very own mini wedding cake for my birthday!"

Beer Mug Birthday Cake
This is a cake I made for my brother's birthday. He brews beer and after looking at beautiful cakes on CC, I decided this was very fitting. It is 5 layers of 6" round cakes. I alternated devil's food with yellow cake. I filled it with chocolate pudding and iced/decorated it with butter cream. The handle is made out of fondant and gave me tons of problems. I finally stuck skewers in it at all angles and left most of the skewer out to attach it to the cake. Because it was so tall, it was hard to transport because it wanted to tip. By the time I got it to the party it had a terrible lean to it. I didn't have dowels so I had to improvise by sticking skewers through all the layers. It helped, but not as much as dowels would have. "Live and Learn!"

Baby Girl Cake And Congrats Baby Shower Cake
These were 2 cakes I made for a coworker's work baby shower. The little girl cake (from the Wilton website) is vanilla cake with Ice N' Easy fondant coverings. The feet and ears are cardboard (patterns on the Wilton site) covered in fondant. The arms are rice crispy treats covered in fondant. She looks like she has cellulite! The other cake is a chocolate cake with chocolate pudding filling and covered with fondant. I did the piping with regular buttercream.

Admin's Day Cake
I made this cake for my office to celebrate Administrative Professional's Day. It is a red velvet cake with vanilla pudding filling. I used Ice N' Easy fondant and piped/ crumb-coated with regular buttercream. I put the cake in the refrigerator over night and it got shiny on me. This was one of my first cakes I made outside of the Wilton Classes.

Breaking Dawn Book (Twilight Saga)
This is a replica of the Breaking Dawn book from the Twilight Saga I did for a 9 year old's birthday. I used a triple chocolate and double chocolate cake with chocolate pudding/ whipped topping filling. The cover and chess board were done in Ice N' Easy fondant. I did the piping and "book pages" in regular buttercream. The chess pieces were borrowed from a game set and one was painted red.

Thanks to Erin31 for the flame pattern on the red flames!
