This was my first attemp at a cake made with a special pan. My hands are definitely going to be sore tomorrow. That's Lightning McQueen sitting on top of a 11x13 sheet cake. No filling. I didn't dare!
I made this for my sister and cousin's 40th birthday. More than one person had to look twice to see that it was a cake!
Made this for my brother-in-law's birthday. The hat and head are RKT, the torso is white cake, and the bottom is chocolate cake. The bottom was frosted with buttercream, the torso, head and hat are fondant. The hair and whiskers are buttercream.
So my sister wanted a 3-D Big Bird cake for my niece's 17th birthday. This is the first time I'd ever attempted anything 3d - and I'm very happy with the results. (It's not perfect.. but it's not bad!)
