My First Wedding Cake
I did this for a friend of mine. It turned out BEAUTIFULLY!! it's covered in DMJ69 buttercreme flavored fondant recipe and there was not a single bit left on the plate. It's one layer white cake and one layer red velvet with cream cheese filling. I had so many compliments on the taste. I also did the grooms cake which is marble cake with my mom's family fudge icing and chocolate covered strawberries. :) I'm very pleased with it all.

Full Cake
The full cake. YES I know there are structural issues. ;) I had to carve some overdone edges off because there was too much batter in the pan. Lesson learned I hope. YES yes I know the icing has bled through to the ribbon. *sigh* I honestly do know how to keep that from happening but didn't even think to do it so I'm ill about that. That said... I do like the LOOK of the cake, just not happy with the structural part of it. Constructive Criticism welcome.

First Fondant Cake - Circles
I know I saw the idea for the circles on here but where I couldn't even begin to tell you and I'm sorry for that. I'm very pleased with how it turned out, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be but not easy by any means. It looks like the cake is leaning but it's not... It's just really off center of the cake board. I've been bad about that since day one. LOL. The fondant is MMF and I really like the taste of it! It was SO easy to handle and roll out and smooth. My orange didn't get as bright as I'd have liked but it's still nice. :) Thanks for looking!! Any constructive criticism is always welcomed.

Summer Fun Flip Flop
I made this cake for our summer family reunion. My family are real big flip flop wearers. LOL. It's almost an obsession. I printed a picture from the internet of the flip flops and used tinted piping gel to transfer it on the cake. It was also my first attempt at the Viva smoothing method and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. This is the second cake that I've decorated. With time I'll get a lot better I'm sure! :)
