This was a shower for an unknown gender baby. I tried to keep it as gender neutral as possible. The cake is an 8 in round strawberry cake with cream cheese filling covered in fondant. The bow is gumpaste. The cupcakes are assorted flavors with a fondant dot. I decorated the stand with fabric and ribbon. Thanks!
This cake settled and I was so upset! I should have known especially on an extremely hot and humid day. I was upset until it arrived at the party and people went nuts over it! Nobody beleived it was a real cake! This cake is 5 8" round layers seperated by a cake board under the second layer from the top. This helped when cutting the cake. I had a single dowel through the whole cake and two additional dowels under the seperating cake board. I colored the fondant before covering the cake and I covered the cake just i would any other cake instead of wrapping it. I painted some details on the cake. The froth is buttercream. The handle is fondant. The cupcakes have custom wrappers and are also choc with choc buttercream. The cake board is covered in fondant and imprinted with a wood press/ I panited this with watered down color and it really gave a "bar" feel.

The star was not as pointy as i would have liked but it turned out good. I made the board with purchased stars. Cake balls were requested with the cake and i place fondant stars on top of those.
This cake was freanch vanilla with buttercream filling covered in fondant with all fondant decorations. I had painted all of the belt details and airbrushed the black belt.
mario cake made with mm fondant. the top tube is rkt covered in fondant and the mario is a toy! the cake sweated a lot because the party table was in a barn on a 95 degree humid day. i was just thankful it didnt fall apart!
