Butterfly cake for my nieces first birthday. Got the idea from Jeana77's ladybug cake, but Mom loves butterflies and purple. Thank you so much for the cute idea.
Notre Dame Football
My first grooms cake. It was interesting b/c the bride requested cheesecake. I have never made cheesecake much less decorated it like a normal cake. It actually worked out well.
Woody and Jessy cake for a 4 year old girl. Characters cut out of fondant, but everything else is buttercream.
d d d d d Dora (as my son calls her) cake for a three year old little girl. I have actually made this cake twice (just a little bit of a different color scheme each time.
I had a girl send me a picture of a cake she wanted for her birthday except with dasies on top. The picture happened to be from here so thank you for sharing. I unfortunately don't remember who posted it. I also posted matching cupcakes.
Twin Pea Pods
Baby shower cake for twins. Similar to another cake I made. The idea came from someone on here. As always, thank you for all the ideas.
Bucket O Cake Pops
My first attempt at cake pops. They turned out OK, but I definitely hope I get better with time. They were a big hit at the party. Red velvet with cream cheese icing.
I too noticed the same cake other noticed by hbarberycakes and used it for inspiration. I saw someone else's that used toothbrush and pearl dust and I will definitely be remembering that trick and trying it in the future. I was pleased with the cutouts but had some problems with the cake.
Keeping Grayson Home
I made this cake for a silent auction for one of my friend's little boy Grayson. It is iced in buttercream with fondant accents. This is my first time making a cake this big and I think it turned out OK. Of course, there are some things I would change on it, but I think that is every cake we ever make. Thanks for all the inspiration.
Strawberry cake iced in buttercream. Some fondant accents but mostly all buttercream. Combined several cake I saw on here!
Chocolate cake iced with buttercream and buttercream flowers. The bow is a fondant/gum paste blend. Got the idea from here. Saw several cakes with the same design and the birthday girl liked it. Thanks for posting all your pics everyone!
So apparently this is from Jersey Shore (don't know b/c I have never seen the show). Birthday girl sent me a picture of a cake and asked me to make something like it. Not what I would have chosen, but looks good and she liked it.
The request was to make a cake that is not girly (so no pink) with blues and greens, colorful, and fun. I think it turned out well.
19 cupcakes formed to make a pumpkin head. Inspiration from cake central so thanks to everyone for posting.
