Winnie The Pooh 1St Birthday
1st Birthday cake for a little girl. Took part of the design idea from one I saw here on cake central. Thought it needed a tree since pooh IS from the 100 Acre Woods. Made characters out of fondant with details done with edible markers and food coloring/paintbrush. Bottom is chocolate cake with ganache, top is WASC with strawberry cream, all covered in fondant. Fence is fondant, clouds, tree, grass, etc all buttercream.

Pink, Black, And White Cake
cake for a 10 yr old's bday, mom said "her favorite colors are pink, black, and white and make it girly"...so this is what I came up with. Not quite as perfect as I was hoping, my bows got a little cranky and seemed to think they did not want to stay on the cake, so I botched a spot or two trying to get them to stay on, but the little girl loved it and it still turned out pretty decent. My favorite part is the little pink sugarballs on the top tier. I made fondant balls, stuck them on a toothpick so I could dip them in vodka and then dip them in pink sanding sugar. Let them dry and stuck them on the cake with a little buttercream. They were so cute. I'm going to use them on future cakes for sure :) Ribbon/bow made from fondant, rest is buttercream. Thanks for looking!

Camo Baby Stroller
Chocolate cake filled with strawberry cream, iced in buttercream....customer wanted blue/brown camo stroller cake. Stroller handle made from fondant brushed in silver luster dust. Wheels wrapped in black fondant. The little placard says the baby's name on it (kind of like an Eddie Bauer stroller tag, but not- lol!). Thanks for looking

Welcome Home Soldier
Pumpkin spice cake filled with cream cheese icing, decorated in buttercream. For a girl who's hubby had just returned from Afghanistan, it was their celebration cake. Brown camo on the sides of the cake, fondant camo-clad soldier crawling through the (crushed graham cracker) desert to get to the promise land of green grass and welcom home banners.

Lego Cake
Chocolate cake filled with ganache and iced with buttercream. After the buttercream crusted, I used my daughter's lego board to imprint the pattern on the cake, then piped all the dots on (took forever) and flattened them out. We've got a great candy/nut store here that carries lego candy (thank God).

Hello Kitty
Hello Kitty birthday cake, WASC with buttercream. Hello Kitty is my version/attempt at a chocolate transfer, but I tried it with what I had on hand that night, which was peanutbutter chips/chocolate bark for the brown, cherry chips for the pink, and white almond bark for the white parts. I thought it turned out great. I didnt like the flower so I buttercreamed over it to finish it off. Fun alternative to a Royal icing transfer!

Pink & Brown 1St Bday Cake
Client wanted a cake with pink/brown polka dots for her daughter's 1st bday cake. From there I suggested the stripes on the side, and the bow idea, and this lovely cake was the result. Topped with the "smasher" cake made to look like a gift tag for the birthday girl. It turned out super cute. I love how the bow turned out. WASC with buttercream icing, fondant bow with discodust glitter on it.

Spiderman Cake
Client wanted me to base the cake off the invitation and add my own flair to it.... I added a few extra webs and the red/black airbrushing to give it more color. WASC/Chocolate marble cake, filled with Strawberry creme and iced with buttercream. Spiderman is a royal icing transfer, which I learned how to do here (thank you CC users!), and the spider is fondant.

Football, Baseball, Basketball Cupcakes
Footballs and baseball mitts made out of fondant. Baseball hats (were a pain to make) and were a rice krispie ball, then molded fondant around it and into a hat. (the bills were hard to do!). Basketballs I iced and striped in buttercream, then rolled in orange sanding sugar. 1/2 of them were WASC with buttercream, the other half were chocolate filled with ganache and buttercreamed. Also included in the order were mini sugar cookies for the 2nd birthday celebration!

Scrapbook Cake
Customer wanted a cake that looked like a scrapbook page. (good thing I scrapbook!). They said they liked purple, and paisleys, and provided the "fun" pictures. I had the pics made into edible images (blurred here to put on CC). Made paisleys, buttons, birthday-girls banner, scrapbook scissors, and pen out of fondant. The scrapbook "paper" I marbled with purple and turquoise fondant. Was thrilled with the results! Cake is chocolate filled with chocolate ganache, iced in buttercream.

30Th Bday Topsy Turvy
my first topsy turvy cake for a friends' surprise 30th bday. I thought it turned out so cute! She's not a fan of many kinds of cake, so I didn't get to be creative with the flavors, but had fun with the decorating! iced in buttercream and decorated with fondant accents. The bow was fondant with some disco dust painted on it. I'm a big fan of disco dust ;)

First Baby Shower Cake
This was my first "official" cake order! I've done cakes for friends, etc but the first time doing it for a stranger..lol... I got the design idea from AmyCakes2 (love your cake!) so tailored it for a boy cake. I was pleased with the result! Chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and fresh strawberries in the middle, iced with buttercream. Everything is buttercream except the little fondant baby. This pic is of the cake in the box...I forgot to take one with my real camera before putting it in the box and didn't want to get it back out! Sorry ;) TFL!
