This is my first attempt at making flowers. I used a gumpaste/fondant mix. I made this cake for my daughter's 18th birthday (She loves Tiger Lillies). I hand painted the flowers using edible gel coloring.
This cake was made for a 70th birthday party for a lady who taught ballet. The bottom cake was vanilla with a vanilla ganache filling and coating. The top cake is a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling and coating. Both are covered in MMF. The roses are icing. The ballet shoes are made from fondant. This is my first cake of this size, I usually make much smaller cakes.
This is a cake I made for a softball party... The ball and glove are both made from rice crispy treats covered in fondant.
