Minion Bob With Tim Birthday Cake
I made this cake for my daughter's 9th birthday. She wanted Bob the Minion with his teddy bear Tim. The minion is half of a 6" ball cake stacked on top of two 3" tall 6" cakes. The bear is all chocolate fondant. The birthday girl requested the tie-dye design on the small cake.

Olaf In Summer Birthday Cake
This is the cake I made for my daughter's 8th birthday. The party theme was a Frozen Karaoke party for a June birthday, so she wanted Olaf in a grass field with flowers and musical notes. Olaf and the flowers are fondant, and the name, snowflakes, and musical notes are candy melts. The frosting is swiss meringue buttercream. She wanted to write her name in candy melts, so I let her pipe it onto parchment paper.

Butterfly Cupcakes
I made these butterfly cupcakes for my daughter to take to school for her birthday. They're partly based on Annie's design on annies-eats.com, but I made some alterations. I put the wings closer together and piped the body, then placed them in a flower former to keep the wings up as it dries. I did some antennae piped and some separate as Annie suggested. I definitely will do them all piped as one piece in the future. I used candy melts to make the wings and white nonpareils.

"the Very Hungry Caterpillar" Cake And Butterfly Cupcakes
My daughter's preschool graduation theme was based on Eric Carle's book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." I made the caterpillar cake (7" round cake for head, cupcakes for body) and then made butterflies that I painted in a style similar to Carle's for each graduate along with a paper flag with their name. This site forum was critical to the cake's success because I had to figure out how to make a large enough cake board, so thanks!

Cinderella Doll Birthday Cake
This is the Cinderella doll cake I made for my daughter's 4th birthday. She wanted flowers on the dress, so it's not the typical dress. This was my first time working with fondant. I used the Wilton doll cake pan stacked on top of an 8" layer to allow for a full-size doll. I stacked the whole thing on a larger round cake to have room for the flowers. I wrote Princess on one side and Abby on the other. I am obviously an amateur, but I think it went well for my first fondant cake. The frosting for the bottom and piping was cream cheese, and I didn't get it quite stiff enough, but it tasted great. She wants a Belle cake this year, so hopefully I can improve my technique.
