Dylan's 5Th Birthday Cake
This was so much fun to make!! Dylan had all the figures, so I just had to come up with a generic design!! The cowprint tier is chocolate cake, white buttercream and fondant accents. The star tier is yellow pound cake, blue buttercream and fondant accents. The moon was a HUGE cake ball that I covered in fondant. I can't wait to see what next years theme will be.

Mermaid Cake W/o The Mermaid
My friend asked me to make her daughters birthday cake. She wanted a mermaid cake that used her "favorite" mermaid, Merma. Well I couldnt' find a picture of a mermaid that looked like Merma, and Mom didn't want to part with Merma so I could sculpt her. So I just made the cake with a little island for Merma to be placed on once the cake arrived at the party. This was also the first cake that I made that was picked up by the customer. It was nerve wracking to know that I wouldn't be there to set up the cake, but everyone loved it.

Dylan's Triple Super Hero Cake
This was the first cake I made for someone besides myself or my coworkers. My friend's son asked me to make him a "Batman, Superman and Spiderman" cake. It was quite the challenge for a newbie, but I think I did pretty good. All but the superhero's themselves were edible. The S logo is Royal Icing, and Gotham is fondant, the the spiderweb was white chocolate, (in hindsight, I wouldn't have used chocolate, it was hard to write with). This was a HUGE hit with all the little super hero's running around that day!! Thanks for looking!
