Birthday Cake for my Mom and Step Dad. They are the proud owners/parents to a 9 wk. old German Shepherd puppy! So I made them a puppy paw print cake accented with bones made from fondant. It's 3 layers of triple choc. fudge cake with choc. mouse filling. Choc. icing with some fondant accents.
My son's 6th Birthday Cake. I've been doing fire truck cakes for 3 consecutive years now for my little Fire Chief and I thought we needed to have more than just a fire truck on the cake, so lets have a house fire scene! Using the candles, of course, for the actual fire was a big hit! We stuck the 6 candles in the windows and the sides of the house and we had a house fire!. My son was dressed in his fire gear and was so excited to put the fire out! This cake is 1/2 sheet Choc./Vanilla, house is cake and wrapped in fondant as well as rode and driveway. With candy accents too.
Big rice crispy treat.
1/2 sheet, half choc/vanilla w/ bc icing and roses. Fondant drapes, checkered floor and wood panels. Guitar, banjo and girl are rice crispies detailed in fondant. Girl "top" is plastic.

My son's 4th birthday cake. I just kept it simple! He also had a real fire truck show up to his party.
Used fondant with a marble effect for the cover and spine and made a FBCT for the "Goosebumbs Horrorland" title. This was my son's 7th birthday cake and he and I thought of this story line for the cover and the cake monster on the front, which was a FBCT as well.
This is a made up scene from the Atlantis Legos. My son was turning 6 and all in to Atlantis Legos. So he was the true designer behind this cake. The pyramid in the middle of the island is called the "Map of Atlantis". And basically, you have to collect all four keys (the circle things on the island) to open the map. But the lego man in the water has the last key and the shark and squid are closing in. Will he make it?!? That's how my son was wanting it look... like it was telling a story and leaving you in suspense.
Three 10" staked devils food cakes with 2 layers choc. mousse filling. Iced with whipped milk choc. Scroll & border with dark choc. frosting. Chocolate shavings on top with strawberries.
Garden Cake: 1/2 choc., 1/2 vanilla w/ buttercream icing. Dirt for the garden was crushed graham crackers with a pinch of brown sugar. All the vegetables and the basket were made of fondant with a fill in of buttercream leaves.
Bingo Birthday Cake: Choc. w/ buttercream icing and flowers. Bingo card and dice were made out of fondant.
Hoosier Lottery Cake: choc. w/ wipped icing, fondant covered rice crispy treats for the balls. Hoosier lottery cut-out and the confetti money is fondant as well.
Disney "Cars" Cake: choc.w/ whipped icing and black & white fondant squares with 6" round cake on top. Real cars and piston cup.
Outer Space Cake: choc. w/ whipped icing and fondant planets and rocket.
