Rockets And Cowboy Stripes
This cake gives me such mixed feelings. I feel like if I had had a few more hours, it would have been my best cake, but I ran out of time. I underestimated how long it would take. I made it for Icing Smiles and I felt really bad I didn't finish, but I hope the family loved it anyway.

Pink Princess
I only had a day to work on this cake, so I kept it pretty simple. But the birthday girl totally lit up when she saw it! The cake is frosted in buttercream with fondant accents. I also added some luster dust to make it sparkle. The crown on top is a toy that belongs to the friend this cake was for.

Simple Flower Baby Shower
I made this for a baby shower I attended today. Cake is yellow cake with lime curd filling and coconut buttercream. Everyone raved about the frosting and the filling! I wish I had just left the top tier off; it looks kind of wonky, and not in a good way. Other than that, I was pretty happy with how this turned out!

Moscow Sunrise
I love these cupcakes! I call them Moscow Sunrise because they have beets in them and the coloring ends up looking like a sunrise after they're baked. I just added one small grated beet to the sour cream of my WASC recipe and then made it like normal, and this is how they turn out! And they're delicious, too! It doesn't taste like beets at all, the beets just give the cupcakes an extra depth of flavor that no one can really pinpoint. You should totally try it and tell me what you think!

Polka Dot Cake
I made this cake to try out my new Americolor gels. I'm in love! I always hated know muted and pastel my Wilton colors came out. Not really sure what I was thinking when I came up with this design. I spent four hours just cutting out dots and adhering them to the cake! haha I love how it came out, though.

Mermaid Cake
I found the idea for this cake from a bakery called Concord Teacakes. The birthday girl saw their cake, and wanted me to change the dome to the color of water (it was originally a gray rock), and she wanted an aqua tail. I was worried that the tail would blend into the water, but I think it turned out alright. I think the distinction looked better in real life. Also, the mom wanted the mermaid to have a one piece swimming suit on instead of a bikini.

Sleeping Beauty Doll Cake
I've made a few doll cakes and wanted to try adding a "scene". Overall, I was happy with how it turned out, and now I know how to make it better next time! My favorite detail of the entire cake is the white collar on Sleeping Beauty's dress. I just couldn't figure out how to make it look right, and my brilliant husband came up with a template for me to use. The cake is chocolate mud cake with cookies and cream filling, frosted in BC with fondant and gumpaste details (the skirt of the dress is the only place where the BC is visible).

Snow White Doll Cake
Second try at the doll cake. I was pretty proud. My favorite part was the sleeves. To make it look like the red was inset I first iced the shoulder red, then piped the light blue over it with tip 81 and tip 2 (for the "seams"). The cake was chocolate mud cake with cookies and cream filling and cream cheese frosting.

Tiara Cupcakes
I made these for a friend who wanted pink princess cupcakes. The tiaras are made from melting wafers. I used pearl sprinkles for the gems. I got the idea from stephpatterson77 who got the template from Dennysse. Thank you! They were a hit! The templates can be found in the sketches and patterns section (mini tiara 1 and 2). Bike Cake
This was the first time I've done a cake for someone else. I was so excited! The cake is chocolate mud cake with cookies and cream filling. The frosting is cream cheese frosting. I may try a new recipe; I had such a hard time getting this one smooth!! But at least it was delicious... The plaques on the side are made from melting candy wafers. The "candles" are shish kabob sticks I covered in melting chocolate/wafers and stuck in the cake so I could keep the top layer from sliding off (the party was outside and I didn't want my whipped cream melting and sliding around!).

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes
I've been wanting to try these for a while. I got the idea for the candy and cup from nefgaby. I thought they turned out cute, but next time I won't put nearly as much batter in each cone! I didn't show the back, but on each cone the batter ran over the top of the cone on one side and made it sag down. I think I'll try filling the cups about half full next time! The toppings are a little fudge mixture I came up with and cream cheese BC, then topped with sprinkles and a red skittle.
