The butterflies were made with a metal cookie cutter and Jolly Ranchers that I melted in the oven. Let them set a bit and fold to make the butterflies more lifelike. Mixing colors created some cool effects and it's super easy. The kids like the butterfly suckers more than the cake. Good thing I made extras so all kids got one.
My grandson wanted a dinosaur cake for his birthday and just any dinosaur. He wanted an Ankylosaurus which of course I hadn't a clue as to what that was. Anyway after researching I found some pictures and thought that mini Snickers work well for the bumpy hide.
