I had to make a second cake to go with my son's Thomas cake so I thought this would be cute with it.
My son wanted a cake with Thomas, Toby, Diesel 10, Bertie, Harold and Tidmouth sheds! It was my first attempt at making a building. It came out pretty crooked! LOL He still loved it :)
Simple cakes for first birthday decorated with different shapes and colors.
This cake was for my mother-in-law's fiftieth birthday. I used a stencil to "stamp" the robin on then finished painting it with food coloring and toothpicks. It was one of my first ones with fondant and turned out a little lopsided, but overall well.
This was for my grandmother's birthday. The top is supposed to look like a present and there are high heels all around it. The fondant looks powdery because I took the photos right after I made it. My fondant always looks great the next day, I guess the sugar soaks in??
This was for my son's second birthday. I used Mentos for the eyes and cut a "bite mark" out of a real cookie. Overall it was a pretty easy cake!
This cake was for my cousin's birthday. She picked the colors and asked for the star on top. All together I think it turned out pretty well for my first attempt at a zebra cake :)
