I made this cake to raffle off at my niece's dance recital. The bottom tier is almond pound cake and the top tier is lemon poundcake with lemon pudding filling. All covered in buttercream icing and fondant.
This was my first shot at entering a cake in a competition. There are three main colleges in central NC and people are very passionate about their teams. When 2 people in one house cheer for different schools, they call it a house divided. This is my attempt at a cake divided!
My niece attends a small dance studio in North Carolina. I thought it would be a good fundraiser to raffle off a cake. Their studio 'colors' are hot pink and black. All fondant covered.
