Birthday
Yellow almond cake with whipped cream buttercream icing. Third attempt at roses. This cake made me realize how nerve wracking doing writing on a cake really is; slightly better than my usual, but still had some issues and need improvement. Second attempt at a reverse shell border; first attempt at a rope border.

Zebra Stripes
I made this for my birthday; I decided I wanted to try something new. It's not anywhere near perfect as I was exhausted and just wanted to try it, so pretty much threw it together. I wasn't really sure on what I was doing as far as stripes go. I put the black dot in the center where I was going to place my bow, but due to exhaustion and knowingly not doing the bow correctly, the bow totally bombed, so it didn't make it on. If anyone could offer any input on the best way to do the stripes, I'd be grateful. I also tried the technique to make the inside zebra stripe. It sort of turned out, but I think it could have had been better. The cake was white on white buttermilk colored pink and black.

Senior Football Night
Obviously not pro, but it is football... Sheet cake made for a Senior Football Night dinner at a high school. 1/2 super moist chocolate cake, 1/2 white on white buttermilk cake. The football was used using the Wilton football pan, also chocolate. Disaster after disaster, but I managed to get it done (which I was doubting). Cake was inspired by wgoat5.

Jack Skellington
Chocolate Almond cake with Cookies and French Buttercream filling. Everything was fine until trying to put the circle on for Jack's face. It just went downhill from there. My freehand skill needs improvement. For Zero on the side of the cake, I originally tried a piping gel transfer, but unfortunately it just made a mess. I tried to repair, but it seemed like there was little I could do after trying to get the piping gel off. In the end just stuck with black icing to outline and transfer.

Melted Oreo Ice Cream Cake
I was really looking forward to doing this, but the day was too hot for my buttercream frosting to stand a chance. It melted, and I tried to get it to set, but there was very little that I could do. Then due to the fact of it melting, I had so much difficulty getting the frosting as smooth as I would have liked. In addition, I ended up making too little frosting, so I had to mix in some store bought as I didn't have time to make another batch (that would've just melted anyway).
