Chewbacca From Star Wars
Chewbacca was down with 2 - 10" rounds, 2 - 8" rounds and 1 - 6" rounds. I then used cake pieces to mold his facial features together. I covered in a base buttercream layer then added multiple layers of different shades of brown "streaking" layers. I used multiple tips to create a "hairy, messy" look. I used fondant for eyes, nose, mouth & teeth. TFL.

Scottish Rite 90Th Birthday Celebration
The Fort Worth Builders Assoc & Kelidoscope of Homes Tour celebrated last weekend by throwing a charity event to support The Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. It was held in Fort Worth and I was asked to put on a 250 cupcake display for the event. I choose a large cupcake tier, place an 8" square cake on top with the events logo on front. I then place 250 cupcakes with crayons, presents, & star toppers on them on the bottom 4 tiers. I had such a great time doing this and thought I'd share.

Delta Sigma Theta - High Heel
This cake was a for a going away party. The lady was a Delta Sigma Theta alumni who is also a HUGE shoe lover. The sorority colors are crimson red and cream. This was my first high heel attempt. The shoe was made from 50/50 Satin Ice fondant and gumpaste. I used one of my own shoes to make a paper pattern then allowed it to dry on a piece of wax paper laid on my shoe for 5 days. The heel is a large dowel rod covered in 50/50 as well.

Pirate Birthday - Arghhhhhhh
This cake is a small 6" with 2dz cupcakes to match. The cake is all fondant with a fontant/gumpaste hook. I make the hook out of yellow fondant and sprayed it with edible gold spray and sprinkled gold dust on it. I had to let the hook dry for 5 days. The cupcakes were done with the Pirate Cupcake Kit from Williams-Sonoma. The gold coins are chocolate candies covered in gold foil from Party City.
