My friend asked me to make a pie cake for her husband's birthday. It was super easy to do. I baked the pie directly in the pie plate, removed it and cut it in half so I could add the cream cheese filling. Then I put red fondant on the cake, covered by the weaved top. I painted on some brown to make it look shiny and used gel icing to make it look like the cherry spilled out of the crust. I hope you like it!
I put this one together very last minute. My husband was rushing me to finish because dinner was ready and I was using the table to roll out the fondant. It turned out ok considering how rushed I was.
