My son just turned 3 and Toy Story 3 had just come out in theaters and he was a really big fan. He asked me everyday before his party for a Toy Story 3 birthday cake and this is what I came up with. It's MMF decorations on the background decorations. The rainbow and "SunnySide" are painted on and the characters are from a character box set bought at the Disney store
I made this cake in the form of a jelly roll like my husband requested, and frosted it with chocolate ganache, per his request. When I stepped back and looked at it...well, the note on the cake says it all. He has a very good sense of humor, and it actually took him some time to stop laughing and blow out his candles!!

The graduate was studying to be a graphic artist. I'm no graphic artist, but I wanted it to have as many fun details as I could. The top., funky circle was her logo I copied onto an MMF circle and molded. Wish I had done the braid/twist around all layers. I really liked that. All decorations MMF
First birthday cake for my nephew. His mom saw a picture of a cake that looked almost like this, and wanted me to replicate it. I don't think I did half bad, especially considering it was my first time to ever make an animal or 3D character of any sort. This was my first time making a fondant bow. I should have researched it more, it needed to "dry out" a few more days. We were having a very rainy morning and the humidity ruined the bow. Oh well, live and learn.
My first try with marshmallow fondant (MMF). I think it did pretty well.
