Lambs & Ivy Raspberry Swirl
7/26/10-Full sheet to match the nursery design was requested. I made all my decorative pieces before I baked anything up and everything was a lot smoother. I had trouble determining when the cake was done and had to scrap the first one! Any tips on baking full sheets? I tried the Satin Ice gumpaste and I liked working with. I plan to try their fondant too. I want to learn how to work with as many products as I can. I used some filling recipes I found on CC and they were a hit! There was a second store bought cake at the shower as well and even after this cake was gone, nobody wanted to try it. This site has really motivated me to learn more. Please leave comments

My First Tiered Cake
My pregnant friend couldn't decide a thing for her shower. Each cake layer is a different flavor and had different fondant accents. All the fondant is Duff & I tried the frosting recipe from a local decorators supply company and I think this is my new favorite! I dont know what I did wrong but the cakes were leaning and barely made it to the shower.

Twin Girls
6-6-10- This is for a babyshower for twin girls, one in pinks and the other in purples. Unfortunately the mom was in labor and missed her shower. To top it off someone TOOK the pieces sat aside for her so she didn't get to taste her cake. Pineapple/Coconut and Marble/Vanilla. The baby legs& feet are RKT. Next time I know to use a second layer of fondant on the legs/feet for better texture. Fondant is Fondaric.

My Mom's Birthday Cake
May 2010- This is a Vanilla Almond cake with Coffee buttercream. The fondant is Duff (amazing taste). I used two different size cobblestone impression sheets to make the 'snake skin' look. I used silver cake spray paint on black fondant for the handles etc. My mom nearly cried and every one at her job wants a cake now. Please leave comments

Gumpaste Garden
April 2010- I bought the Wilton gumpaste flower kit back in January & used to work on a flower a week. Well I decicded to spend the day making as many different flowers as I could, trying to make them look better. Some flowers are 50/50 and others are all gumpaste. Even though I added flavors, I still don't like the Wilton Gumpaste/ Fondant

Surprise Babyshower
November 2009- My mom asked for this cake for a friends surprise shower disguised as a potluck. I think this is a scratch lemon cake with homemade vanilla butter cream. The decorations are MMF mixed with Wilton gumpaste, I flavored with pineapple and strawberry. I haven't got the lemon down yet & I am still working on a scratch recipe that tastes like nanas. Nobody has the copy of her recipe so everyone keeps trying. Please leave comments
