Ahem. I didn't get great photos of this one, but it had smoke wisps made of pulled sugar and a very realistic looking burnt end. I may not agree with this particular extracurricular activity, but I was proud of it anyway!
This was fun to make! All fondant except for the Marines emblem- it's chocolate with gold luster dust.

Cake for my friend- who talked me into breaking my "no licensed characters" rule! Since the cake was a gift, it should be ok. One of the reasons for my rule is that I'm not good at getting the characters "just right" even one this simple! I think it's a cute cake nonetheless. Vanilla Bean cake, white chocolate buttercream and fresh strawberries.

Just a prototype/experiment for a client who wants cakepops for party favors.
I made these for my nephew's 12th Birthday and delivered them to his school. Some of the kids saved the frog to take home with them, lol.
Decorated with royal icing and various shimmery, sparkly edible glitters and dusts.
This is traditionally a French wedding cake, but I like it all dressed up for the holidays! It is made from creampuffs and decorated with spun-sugar and gumpaste snowflakes. The "old-school" way of assembling involves caramelized sugar, but it makes it difficult to pull the creampuffs off and eat them, so I use ganache for assembly.
My hubby built this for me and I thought you guys might want to see it. It's a simple idea for a sales display, fun at a party or even a wedding. It could easily be dressed up and decorated.
