30Th Birthday Cake
my 1st all from scratch cake. bottom tier chocolate, top tier banana cake from recipes by confetti cakes. 3 cakes for each tier with my own buttercream filling. made this for my friends 30th bday who had a b&w theme. my 1st time making a high heel shoe, used gumpaste for shoe and fondant for the flowers, shoe painted with black gel/vodka. bow from fondant (would never make fondant bow again, much easier with gumpaste, fondant too heavy & all loops kept breaking). thanks for looking :)

Daughters 1St Bday
after the whole CAKE disaster we had for preparing the Madhatter Style cake for Kassia's 1st bday...i had to act fast as it was the day before her bday and i had nothing for her cake. i opted to make her fondant covered cupcakes. went with the same colour theme for her bday party...a good last minute decision i think :)

Total Waste Of Time
this was a madhatter cake i had intended on making for my daughters first bday...it had 5 layers, was all set to go cut on the right angle, i also had 2 other tiers prepared and ready to add the fondant...it ended up taking me 4hrs of trying to roll the purple fondant which wasn't co-operating with me AT ALL...and i eventually lost my cool & punched the cake down the centre of the bottom tier. it was days of hard work all ruined...probably the most upsetting moment i've had since starting to do my own cakes. lol, at least my hubby took pix so we could look back and laugh.
