High School Graduation
Graduation cake for friend's son. He's going to University of NE and then on to the Army. I'm so disappointed with the way the books turned out (first time). I had such high hopes! Oh well, maybe next time. I think I learned a few things I'd do different. But I do like the way the Army emblem turned out. Hershey chocolate cake with chocolate bc and iced in chocolate ganache. Covered in MMF. Everything else MMF. Grad cap is cake, top is cardboard coverd in fondant.

Diaper Bag
I think this was the heaviest cake I've ever made LOL! I used a 9"x13" pan and baked three layers of chocolate filled with chocolate bc and three layers of cherry filled with cherry bc between each layer. Covered the chocolate cake in dark chocolate ganache and the cherry cake in white chocolate ganache and then mmf. All that plus the mmf decorations add up to a lot of weight!

Twilight
Second of two Twilight cakes for Cynthia. She had two parties and wanted two Twilight cakes and they had to have completly different looks. A bit of a challenge considering I knew very little about the Twilight series before starting. This one is all chocolate with raspberry filling. Bottom tier is iced in white chocolate ganache and top is dark chocolate ganache. Covered in MMF and all decorations made with mmf. Apple is RKT.

Halloween Cake
Yellow cake with lemon filling and white chocolate ganache on bottom tier and whipped chocolate ganache filling on top. Covered in mmf. All decoration made with mmf. Got the idea for the cute mummy and sign from Superstar2, although hers is much cuter. Thanks Superstar2. The Jack-o-lantern has a little battery operated tea light in it. I took a pic in the dark to show how it's lit, so the pic is a little out of focus.

My First Topsy Turvy
For my 11 year old Niece's b-day. Bottom Tier 10", 9" ,8" chocolate with white and dark chocolate ganache, mmf. Top Tier, 9", 8", 6" vanilla with white and dark chocolate ganache, mmf. Couldn't decide which background I liked better, the pink or black...so I posted them both. This was fun and now I no longer fear the topsy turvy :-) Next time maybe I'll try a 3 tier.

Tropical Beach Cake
Had a little...er...lets say learning experience with this one. Demolished the entire top tier after torting and filling :-(. Oh well, quickly baked a 2nd one and got it right the next itme. Top tier is 10" Banana with banana cream filling. Bottom tier is 12" coconut with coconut cream filling. Both tiers covered in white chocolate ganache and mmf. All decorations are mmf. Used a LOT of cakes on here for inspiration, so thanks for sharing great cakes everyone. Made this for a good friend of my sisters. She requested that I add a couple things, (book shes reading, Off bug spray) that help to personalize it. Aside from my little catastrophe, I had so much fun making this cake! TFL :-)

Natalya's Barbie Cake
My daughter asked me to make a cake for a friend at work. She said she likes barbies a lot so she wanted me to make one where the barbie's dress is the cake. I didn't really think I would enjoy making that kind of cake. So I got this idea from looking at some of the pictures on here. Thank you CCr's for the cute idea! This is my first time using ganache under fondant and I'm happy to say, no bulges! woohoo!!

Mario
I made this for my Grandson's 10th birthday. He helped me a lot with ideas. He even decided one of the mushrooms should have a fedora hat and we had to place that right on top. This was a lot of fun to do with him. Although I would have liked to place the decorations a little more strategically, it was fun doing it together. Thanks for all of you on CC who posted such great mario cakes for inspiration!
