Baby Shower Cake with gum paste booties
This was for my son's 6th birthday last July. He LOVES sharks and insisted on a shark cake. My first attempt with fondant. What do you think?
This cake was my adaptation of a washtub cake. Three 8-inch rounds make up the cake. The "wood" is fondant strips, as is the soap, duck, brush, washcloth, and blanket. For the bubbles I used buttercream piped with a round tip.
