A friend asked me to make a hummingbird cake for his wife for her birthday. This is what I came up with--hope she likes it!
Fondant covered tiered cake (10" & 8" tiers).
College sendoff cake. Three tier cake (10in, 8in, 6in tiers), buttercream icing (I would have preferred fondant-much smoother looking) with gum paste lettering, stars and Butler University Bulldog logo.
Luau cake. Three tiers (8", 6", 4") covered with fondant and fondant accents, gum paste shells and flowers and lettering.
10 inch round cake covered with fondant. Fondant boulders on top with toy Monster truck climbing them (buttercream icing and oreo cookie crumbs used for mud to adhere boulders). Gum paste racing flags and lettering.
