Gingerbread City 2010: A Christmas Story
This was my entry fro the San Diego County Epilepsy Foundation's fundraiser Gingerbread City 2010. Based on the Christmas Classic: A Christmas Story, the is a to scale replica of the house based on blueprints. I even put the leg lamp in the window. Everything is edible, the house is gingerbread, windows are poured sugar, decorations are fondant and royal icing, the car is carved from RKT. Thank you for looking!

2009 Gingerbread City: Whoville
This was my entry for San Diego County Epilepsy Foundation's annual fundraiser Gingerbread City 2009. Based on Whoville from Dr. Suess' The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. All edible, houses are gingerbread, windows are crushed and melted cany, trees are carved from RKT and all other decorations are fondant or royal icing. TFL.

Nativity Scene
This is a cake I did for my church's Children's Choir Nativity play. Thank you so much to hbarberycakes for your beautiful design and allowing me to take the liberty of replicating it! Spice cake with cinnamon apples and cream cheese mousse. All figures were hand cut. Navy blue fondant was brushed with luster dust and splattered with gold to replicate stars. TFL.

Snoopy Sports Baby Shower
This is a cake for a Snoopy Sports themed baby shower. Mom wanted something to keep, so the painted tier is a dummy. Red Velvet cake with toasted coconut cream cheese filling. The baby converse are my second attempt and they turned out super cute! Baseball cap is also gum paste. Hexagon tier was hand painted. TFL!

Mickey Mouse Third Birthday
This is the birthday cake I made for my son this year. It's a vanilla bean cake with peanut butter white chocolate mousse and strawberry compote. Best tasting PB and J ever. Covered in fondant with fondant accents. The Mickey Mouse ears are cake covered in fondant. I had so much fun making this for him!

Tiffany Cake For Amy
6 inch cube vanilla bean cake with strawberry compote and white chocolate ganache. Lid of box is also cake. Covered in Tiffany blue fondant with white fondant bow. Bow brushed with pearl dust to look like satin. Silver pendant and chain made of fondant. Tissue paper is gum paste.

Over The Rainbow
For a little girl who loves the Wizard of Oz. Two tiers of dark chocolate truffle cake with milk chocolate ganache and strawberry compote, covered in sky blue fondant with cloud brush embroidery. The bluebirds were sculpted out of 50/50 fondant and gum paste, with gum paste poppies, and a pair of gum paste ruby slippers. I used "classic red" disco dust to make them sparkle. The rainbow swag was made of fondant brushed with luster dust. Thank you for looking!

Celebrate Our Troops
This was a four-tier fondant hexagon cake I did for the Fourth of July. The third tier had WWII recruitment posters printed in edible ink, one for each branch. Thank you to CC for all the inspiration. This was a lemon chiffon cake with raspberry compote and lemon curd. All decorations, aside from images, are fondant.

The Steadfast Tin Soldier
Competition cake based on Hans Christian Andersen's "Steadfast Tin Soldier". Three tiers, bottom hexagon with hand painted panels to illustrate story, other panels printed with the story itself. Middle tier an 8"x8" cube made into a jack in the box, the top tier a round with heart stringwork and fondant ribbon. Topper is gumpaste roses, fondant heart and gumpaste spangle.

Life's A Bowl Of Cherries
This is the cake I entered for the 2009 San Diego Sugar Art Show. The cherries are made out of marzipan, the mice out of fondant, and the blossoms out of gumpaste. The blue embroidery piping is supposed to resemble traditional french china. This cake took 1st in the advanced category.
