final course 1 cake. icing for roses wasn't stiff enough and i was only pleased with one of them. i tried to save icing by mixing green with the chocolate bc but it made that really ugly green that you wouldnt exactly want on a cake. but i guess it turned out okay-ish for the vines. definitely need to practice...
This was the first cake I've ever decorated that I did to practice before I started Course 1. I used the Wilton BC recipe, but i used store-bought gel icing to decorate... and it ran like a waterfall. Thank goodness I've gotten a little better since this!
Course 1, Cake 2. So those scary clown heads got discontinued and I couldn't find any for class, so I used a gumball and gave him a mohawk. I wasn't sure what to do with it once I got it home in one piece so it's going to my boyfriend's pizza place :p
first cake for course 1. I didn't actually get to do this in class, because half of the people didn't even have their cakes frosted, but I had fun experimenting on my own
