My Design For Christmas 2012
I made a few of these (6 I think) as I really like the design, it is quick, simple but effective and very elegant. This was then my design for 2012... I think I might use it again in 2013 for Christmas, I can jazz it up a bit. That is my last Christmas cake photo I will subject you to from 2012. Thanks for looking and happy new year everybody!

Nothing special, but it is quite pretty. I decided to try out some red marzipan I had for the bow... I prefer flower/modelling paste for working with, but marzipan tastes better!

Mr. Rudolf Fruit Cake
I have been a naughty girl - I have made some more cakes at last, but have not put them on cake central yet!!! Sorry, everybody, it's because of blooming Facebook, once I have put the pics on there, I forget to upload them elsewhere... I will better myself! Anyway, this cake was for Claudia and her family, my "boss" and owner of TortenBoutique, where I now work. She still hasn't eaten it! I may have to force feed her.... I do hate it, when people say "it's too lovely to eat!" I want to shout back "eat it! I spent HOURS slaving over it!" Take a picture or ten, stroke it, kiss it for all I care, but blooming well eat it!!!!! Ok, rant over.... hope you like ;o)

I Did This Topsy Turvy Mickey Cake For Jayden My Friends Son Who Turned 4 This Is My 2Nd Topsy Turvy Cake I Did It In Record Time I On
I did this topsy turvy Mickey Cake for Jayden, my friends son, who turned 4. This is my 2nd topsy turvy cake. I did it in record time - I only had 2 days, so it might be not quite as tidy as usual. I did have more things planned for the cake, but I just ran out of time. Mickeys ears are made of flower paste and his head and shoulders I sculpted out of rice crispie treats. I just love his glittery ears! That and the glittery star with Jaydens name on it are my favourits.... hhhmmm... I think I like glitter!!! TFL xxx

Oriental Style Wedding Cake
I did this cake dummy because I have always wanted to try this style of cake. It isn't actually finished, I thing I might be adding some more dots and swirls at some point, but I leant it to my friend for her shop window, as she has just opened a shop. hope you like it, thanks for looking

Christening Cake For Mia
This is actually a christening cake, but I couldn't find that category, so I uploaded it in first communion. This was quite a challenge because it was hand sculpted and as the corners of the pillows have nothing to rest on, I had to make sure it all stuck together well and didn't start falling apart! The baby on top, with the water-lily flower is made of cold porcelain, just because it is more durable and the baby's Mum wanted to keep the topper. The bottom cake is chocolate mud and the top cake is white chocolate cake, both covered and filled with the white and dark chocolate ganache accordingly. I hope you like the cake and thanks for looking. Marina

Disco Birthday Cake
I made this birthday cake for my best friends 40th bithday. Her party motto was disco / hippie / flower power. The figure on top is her, I made her out of cold porcelain. I was disappointed with her dress, I mixed the colours together a little bit too much and lost the bright tie-die effect. But overall I was pleased with the cake. She absolutely loved it and it tasted great too. Now all of my friends expect birthday cakes as presents, but I'm not complaining! I hope you like it.

Flower Wreath
These flowers are actually made of cold porcelaine, I didn't know where else to post them though, because I couldn't find a cold porcelaine thread. I actually made them last summer for a cake friend, because she doesn't like making flowers and I do. She used them for a birthday cake for her mother-in-law. It took me over a week, but I love the wreath and am working on some more flowers for myself at the moment. There are a lot of sweet peas, some roses, daisys and forget me nots. They are on a dummy just for the photos. I hope you like them!

"der Wunschfisch" - The Wishes Fish Cake
And this is my second holy communion cake ever, just 4 days after my first cake. It is very simple, but I am quite pleased with it. I cut out over 250 fish scales.... The board was just for delivery, the cake was being moved to a pretty cake stand which was an heirloom. Marina xxx

Wedding Cake - Wangerooge Lighthouse, Germany
I just made this cake for the "Polterabend" of friends who are getting married in a lighthouse at the end of this month. It is a replica of the lighthouse. It was approx. a metre tall and weighed over 13 kilos and was a nightmare to transport! But we got it there in the end and they loved it! Thank you for looking.
