This is the first tiered cake I've done. Bride wanted all butter cream. Used silk flowers that were in her bouquet.
2 layer sheet with chocolate butter cream. Logo is butter cream as well.
This was my 2nd cake using fondant. It is for a wedding shower for a family friend. I used her wedding colors. The hearts are strawberry cake and the main cake is vanilla chocolate swirl. I used marshmallow fondant that I made with marshmallow, powdered sugar and a little water. It tases very good. I also used pearl dust on all of the fondant. It was my first time using it and I loved it. It was a lot of fun. I had a difficult time with the draping, again, my first time....but, I'm learning a little at a time.
This is the cake I made for my youngest son's 1st birthday Dec 09. I used 2 cakes (11x13 & 9x11), homemade buttercream frosting, and homemade marshmallow fondant. This was my first attempt ever of making and using fondant, and decorating a cake. I hope I get better with each cake.
