*Could not decide on a theme for my little girl's 8th birthday. So, I opted for combining some of her favorite things: gardening, art, and knitting.
Made this for a 5 year old's birthday. She insisted on having a tower. Used PVC pipe and end caps for support.
I was happy with the end result of this cake. It's been hot and humid so the butter cream gave me trouble. I was inspired by all of the wonderful dinosaur cakes here. Thanks for looking =).
This was for a graduation for two sisters.
I really liked the way my decorations came out but my writing skills were not good at all yet, =).
This was my first fondant cake (other than my wilton course cake). It was for a second birthday. A large candle filled the space in front of the characters.
I used the Hugs & Stitches theme as an inspiration for this cake. I made the characters from gumpaste/fondant and the cake is buttercream of course.
I made this for my son's birthday. This cake was a nightmare to put together because of the humid weather. So I'm happy with the way it came out.
8 and 10 in cakes. Covered and decorated in marshmallow fondant. The moon rock is cake, iced and covered with marshmallow fondant.
I made this for our 3rd anniversary. The calla lilies are made from gum paste and fondant mixture. The cake is covered in mmf. The drape and border are mmf as well. The lilies, drape and border are dusted with gold pearl dust.
This was for my daughter's birthday this year. Hello Kitty seems to be quite popular lately. Cakes are 6 in and 8 in. All decorations on mmf are hand painted (with the exception of bows/borer).I used icing color mixed with vodka for the paint.
