Third cake for the Wilton class. First attempt at roses.
My second attempt for class. I was still trying to figure out how not to get electric colors.
First cake made in the level one class. My second cake ever.
Made for my Mom's 60th birthday. She loves Twilight! That's frosting blood down at the bottom of the cake.
Made for my son's 3rd birthday. My husband carved the cake and it has twinkies for the rockets. The top is a sucker.
This is the absolute first cake I ever made. It was for my son's first birthday. You can see his little lion lovey in this picture - it is the reason we made this cake. I was pretty proud of myself for making it with no practice or experience whatsoever.
This was for my niece's first birthday. It was our first attempt at covering the cake in fondant. Right as we snapped the picture, the candle fell over so this is an "action shot." Also, one of the eyes was smashed in transport.
This cake was for my son's fourth birthday. We'd already make one Cars cake for him, so we wanted something different. My husband had the idea to make a scene from the movie. This is where Mater and Lightning McQueen are being chased by Frank. (The cars on top are toys.)
This is perhaps the cake I am most embarrassed by. When we removed the cake from the pan, all the decorator lines went with it. I'm not a artist, so I wasn't happy with how the lines went. But it was my second cake ever, so I can't feel too bad!
We made this Wilton 3-D Bear for my daughter's first birthday.
