Lamb Baby Shower Cake
This was my first time dealing with fondant. I wish I had someone teach me techniques on how to use it, I just had to go with the flow. I made the cake for my bestie's baby shower. Obviously she's having a girl & when she saw this cake on http://blog.pinkcakebox.com/pink-and-brown-baby-shower-cakes-2008-08-27.htm she fell in love... I did my best but this is what we got!!

Sporty 3D Bear
For my son's very 1st birthday we couldn't decide what kind of cake would be best for him since he really wasn't into cartoons or anything - just any kind of sporty ball so that's what we did. A 3D bear that was overwhelmed with all kinds of balls. We made a 16 inch pan for the base and added the 3D bear on top. Decoarted the bear with vanilla flavored icing and around the bear we created the grass look. Added the cute little ball candles and we were set to celebrate!

Primitve Star
My friend wanted a country, primitive star cake for his wife. So, I made a vanilla cake shaped into a country star topped with unsmoothed vanilla icing. I sprinkled graham cracker crumbs on top to add very little dull color (plus it tasted really good). I pinched primitive fabric underneath the cake and add a lovely little bow.
