Sailboat Cake
I made this cake for a friend of mine who's boyfriend's birthday was in June. She gave me a picture of his actual sailboat the Fin and Tonic and I duplicated as much as I could into this cake. The was rolled in fondant after being carved to look like a sailboat. All the decorations are made from fondant and gum paste mix and then painted with either petal or luster dust. When my friend saw it she loved it!!!!

Baby Onsie Cake
This cake was done from and idea on this website. I made this for a baby shower for a lady that my mom works with. Both layers are sheet cakes, rolled in fondant. Onsie is carved form template found on here. accents ( buttons, lettering and outlines of onsie) are made from fondant/gumpaste mix. I used a patchwork diamond cutter to make the quilt effect. This was my first onsie cake and am very proud. It was a huge hit and everyone raved about it. Thanks for looking.

Hair Stylist Cake
I made this cake for my hair stylist who is a good friend and I wanted to thank her for always taking care of me when I get my hair done. Anyway...the cake is a layer of vanilla and a layer of chocolate with vanilla buttercream icing as a crumb coat then rolled in white fondant. I used an impression mat to make the diamond effect, molds to make the accessories...hair dryer, combs, scissors and rollers. They are all made from a 50/50 gumpaste/fondant mix and then painted with luster and petal dusts. I added the silver balls at the diamond points on the side and the border is also from a mold made with gumpaste/fondant using amethyst colored fondant and then painted with violet luster dust. The lettering is the Funky Alphabet lettering tap-its. This was my first attempt at this sort of cake. I was pleased with it and so was my stylist. She LOVED it!!!!

Easter Cake 2010
This cake was a lemon cake with lemon mousse and fresh strawberry filing. It was crumb coated in lemon buttercream icing and then rolled in fondant. All the decorations....bunny, flowers and ribbon were made from a 50/50 gumpaste/fondant mix. I used the Wilton 3D Egg pan. My first Easter Cake as well. Was a little disappointed with the Amethyst Fondant. it became very soft and sticky toward the end. Anyway...like I said this was my first Easter cake and it was an experiment. Thank goodness it was only for my family and not a customer. LOL!!!!

Wilton Fondant & Gumpaste Final Cake
This cake was my final cake that I did for the Wilton Fondant and Gumpaste class. The cake is actually a dummy as I want to use this as one of my displays for clients. The cake and drum are covered in fondant. The white ribbon around the cake and along the edges are white fondant rolled in a small spiral imprint. The daisies are all made from gumpaste. Had lots of fun doing this one.
