Choc/strawberrry Topsy Turvy
Made for myself for celebrating decision to go back to school. Been wanting to try a topsy turvy so used this as my reason. Knew that this particular frosting was NOT going to work well or smooth at all on the 90 degree 70% humidity day that it was but it's my favorite so used it anyway. Ribbon, bow, polka dots and roses all Jello MMF.

Duckies And Daisies
Birthday cake made for my sister's birthday and get together with her Donor Family from her liver transplant. Sister loves rubber duckies and the little girl who lost her life for my sister to have hers so many years ago loved playing in her grandmother's daisies. Forever grateful to her family and had to include her daisies in the cake design.

Pink Poc-A-Dot And Zebra-Stripe Cake
So happy with the way that this cake turned out. Made me feel like maybe I am catching on to a few things here. DD's birthday cake. French vanilla cake, french vanilla BC frosting, oreo cream filling, make-up is modeling chocolate, pom-poms are color flow (just thick enough to not flow). Only thing on the cake that's not edible is the picture of her as if she's seeing herself in the make-up compact mirror. Even the sticks holding the pom-poms, balls and 14 are spaghetti noodles painted black with gel colors. Thank you each and every one for all the ideas and tips that I've found here on CC.

Zuma Cake
Husband's birthday cake. Loves (aka...addicted to) Zuma. If you don't know the game then you REALLY won't get this cake. Looked and looked all over for ideas for this cake without luck so wanted to post mine here just in case it would ever help someone else out sometime. Pretty new at caking and need lots of practice smoothing BC yet but you get the gist of it I'm sure. 9x13 topped with rounded cake baked in a mixing bowl. Front corners cut off to bring front to kind of a triangle and back corners cut off to form kind a tale type point. Corners then used to make webbed feet. Back legs are a 6" cut in half and then shaped a bit to fit with rounded cake. cupcake in mouth and carved a whole in top to fit another cupcake. Once again, if you kow the game then you will understand this.

Flower Cake
Just playing around with some leftovers. Had extra batter when making another cake the day before so had put it in a 6" pan and had that in the fridge, Also had BC frosting left in the fridge from same cake. Put a layer of a home made rhubarb/strawberry jam and a layer of BC in between layers and on top of the cake cause i've been wondering how that jam would taste in a cake. Just a little fondant left over from a previous cake and wanting to try had painting with the pasted colors so gave it a whirl. Been wanting to try out the cornelli lace look so went ahead and threw some of that on there. And NEEDING to practice smoothing BC frosting. Hadn't actually intended on taking a pic even since it was just to be a 'try a few things out' cake but hubby came in and saw it and said it looked really nice so decided what the heck. So here it is.

Practice Baptism Cake
SIL asked me to do baptism cake for nephew this summer so I figured I better try it out. Thought I'd give it a try and take it to work for 'National Nursing Home Week'. I think it turned out pretty good but do need some more practice with smoothing BC frosting. Shells around and bible in the center are cream cheese mints just cause they're kind of a 'thing' with my family. Thanks for all of the amazing ideas and info on CC. Making cupcakes to go along to make sure I have enough for co-workers. ( I work evenings so there's not all that many of us around but didn't want to leave anyone wanting cake. )

Mother's Day Boquets
My first attempt at cupcake boquets. I've seen several here on CC and on youtube and have been just waiting for the chance to give it a try. Mother's day seemed perfect. Mother and MIL both loved them too much to eat at first so had to bring extra cupcakes along for them to eat while they just looked at their boquets. LOL. Was def a learning experience for me but loved doing them anyway and will def do again some time. Thanks to everyone who's posted pics in the past and all the wonderful info in forums. Oh and PS: have seen alot with much heavier/coarser (not sure how to word that) frosting but apparently to a 3 year old boy the best way to get the frosting out of a tip you know you shouldn't have in the first place is to bite it flat so ended up having to use this finer one. LOL

Care Bears Cake
Pretty new at this caking thing but really enjoy it. Made this for my daughters 1st birthday. Thought it turned out pretty good actually. Hope you like it too. Strawberry cake, strawberry cream cheese filling, BC frosting and white modeling chocolate rainbow, clouds and stars. Care Bears are just pictures printed on card stock because i'm not that good yet.
